The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests between 6 a.m. Friday and 6 a.m. Monday:

• Capital murder – Dezjuan D. Moffite, born in 2002, 2427 47th Ave., Meridian. (Charge was changed on Monday to manslaughter.)

• Disorderly conduct – Jimmy Williams, born in 1991, 2457 40th Ave., Meridian.

• Simple assault – Allexus S. Armstrong, born in 1996, 3802 Paulding St. Apt. 1, Meridian. Armstrong is also charged with trespassing.

• Driving under the influence/second offense – Reginald J. Amerson, born in 1971, 2210 26th Ave., Meridian.

• Disorderly conduct – Anthony Evans, born in 1996, 1408 46th Ave., Meridian.

• Shoplifting – Frankie Culpepper, born in 1973, 160 CR 3503, Stonewall.

• Shoplifting – Alan Marsh, born in 1981, 2905 S Frontage, Meridian. Marsh is also charged with trespassing.

• Possession of marijuana – Xavier A. Harris, born in 1988, 5552 Charlie Dunn Rd., Meridian.

• Shoplifting – Fred Waters, born in 1962, 2723 Whitaker Rd., Meridian. Waters is also charged with trespassing.

• Shoplifting – Gregory J. Freeman, born in 1982, 4230 Old Homestead Rd., Meridian.

• Shoplifting – Christie M. Roberts, born in 1991, 1412 Ridge Rd., Meridian.

• Shoplifting – Tanya G. Stewart, born in 1974, 137 CR 1131 Shubuta. Stewart is also charged with trespassing.

• Shoplifting – Pamela Love, born in 1970, 681 N Broad St. York, Ala.

• Shoplifting – Cassandra M. Crockett, born in 1993, 681 N. Broad St. York, Ala.

• Shoplifting – Billy J. Sumrall, born in 1980, 4379 CR 31 Rose Hill.

• DUI/first offense – Fekeyya T. Granger, born in 1992, 1240 Will Wright Rd., Meridian.

• Receiving stolen property – Bridgett M. Thompson, born in 1976, 107 71st Pl., Meridian.

• Domestic violence – Tascha Gordon, born in 1981, 3423 Grandview Ave., Meridian.

• Shoplifting – Marquetta A. Grace, born in 1986, 803 29th St., Meridian.

• Disorderly conduct – Joshual Jenkins, born in 1990, 1920 MLK Dr., Meridian. Jenkins is also charged with trespassing, escaping custody.

• Shoplifting – Shannon Brewer, born in 1992, 2809 Edgewood Dr., Meridian.

The Meridian Police Department reported the following incidents from Friday to Monday:

Robbery

• 3100 block of 36th Ave. at 9:04 p.m.

• 200 block of 23rd St. at 6:30 p.m.

Residential burglary

• 2000 block of Mosby Rd. at 4:44 a.m.

• 2400 block of 4th Ave. at 4:25 p.m.

Shootings

• 800 block of 47th Ave. at 1:20 p.m.

• 2500 block of Old Marion Rd. at 12:40 p.m.

• 7900 block of Van Zyverden Rd. at 3:32 p.m.

• Meridian Police responded to 14 shots fired calls but when officers arrived on the scene, only 3 showed any evidence found to support the calls.

Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department

The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests from 8:44 a.m. Friday and 8:43 a.m. Monday.

• No driver’s license – Arthur Lashawn Burton, 38, 1318 19th St. 82, Meridian. Burton is also charged with no liability insurance.

• Driving with suspended license – Kristopher Wayne Butler, 26, 342 Anderson Ln., Quitman. Butler is also charged with improper equipment, no liability insurance.

• Fleeing arrest – Anthony Tikeon Lopez Evans, 22, 1408 46th Ave., Meridian.

• Suspended driver’s license – Antonio Alexander Gatling, 22, 4501 Manning St., Meridian. Gatling is also charged with no liability insurance, seat belt violation.

• Driving under the influence/first offense – Trevor Rodkendrick Gibbs, 25, 15 Wrenn St., York, Ala. Gibbs is also charged with improper equipment, no liability insurance suspended driver’s license.

• Burglary commercial building/three counts – Brian Lee Hoover, 34, 1222 Frazier Grove Rd., Bailey.

• No driver’s license – Alvino Lorenzo Houston, 36, 3848 Kellis Store Rd., Preston. Houston is also charged with no liability insurance.

• Trespassing – Michael Bryce Lockley, 42, 2704 Valley Rd. Mobile Home Park, Lot #85, Meridian. Lockley is also charged with utility theft.

• Possession of methamphetamine – David Paul McArthur, 48, 9343 Bailey Acres Circle Lot B, Meridian. McArthur is also charged with improper equipment, no liability insurance, suspended driver’s license, possession of marijuana in a vehicle.

• DUI/first offense – Danny McVay, 42, 99 Snack Shop Rd. Cuba, Ala. McVay is also charged with speeding, reckless driving, suspended driver’s license, no liability insurance, no license tag, possession of paraphernalia, failure to yield to blue light/siren.

• MS compulsory school attendance law – Meria Moore, 24, 7850 David Newell Rd., Meridian.

• Child restraint law/two counts – Ashley Marie Peters, 28, 1409 Perten Rd., Meridian. Peters is also charged with no driver’s license, no liability insurance.

• Domestic violence – Jeremy Wayne Pierce, 34, 10293 Hwy. 495, Meridian.

• Suspended driver’s license – Curtis Ray Ranies Jr., 46, 1486 Causeyville Rd., Meridian. Raines is also charged with improper equipment, child support/failure to pay.

• Possession/alcoholic beverage w/o state permit – Kashmir Singh, 46, 5603 N. Ave. 11D, Meridian.

• No driver’s license – Johnny Mark Sublette, 50, 3147 Officers Lake Rd., Meridian. Sublette is also charged with no liability insurance, seat belt violation, no license tag.

• Suspended driver’s license – Tia Terell, 23, 4029 23rd Ave., Meridian. Terell is also charged with improper equipment.
