Calhoun said Metro Ambulance took Glasper to a hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

“There were no obvious signs of trauma,” Calhoun said. “The investigation is ongoing.”

Calhoun said Glasper’s body had been sent to the State Crime Lab in Pearl for an autopsy, which may determine a cause of death.

According to the Mississippi Department of Corrections, Glasper was sentenced to life in Humphreys County for capital murder, rape and sexual battery in 2002.
