Charlie Smith, with his wife, Margie, by his side, was sworn in as chancery judge for the 12th Chancery Court district by his predecessor, Jerry Mason, Wednesday morning at the Lauderdale County Courthouse. The district covers Lauderdale, Clarke, Kemper and Wayne counties.
