Rush Health Systems welcomes new orthopaedic surgeon

Rush Health Systems has announced that Meridian native, Lane Rush, MD, is joining Irvin Martin, MD, David Pomierski, MD, Gus A. “Sonny” Rush, MD, James Watson, MD and the staff of Rush Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine.

He will begin seeing patients at the Rush Professional Office Building located at 1800 12th street in Meridian on Aug. 6.

Dr. Rush received his Doctorate of Medicine from the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. He completed his residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at Tulane Medical Center in New Orleans, and completed his fellowship in Sports Medicine and Shoulder Reconstruction at Steadman Hawkins Clinic of the Carolinas in Greenville, South Carolina. 

“Growing up in Meridian, medicine was always a big part of my life. My grandfather, Dr. Gus Rush, practiced in Meridian for several years, and my father, Dr. Sonny Rush, continues to practice Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine,” said Dr. Lane Rush. “I am proud to be returning home to practice orthopaedics. I look forward to delivering personal and compassionate care that has always been a part of my family’s legacy, while also delivering new and innovative techniques and technologies to my patients.”
