Nephrologist Reynolds joins Internal Medicine Clinic

Internal Medicine Clinic is pleased to announce that Joel C. Reynolds, MD, FACP, FASN, has joined the group as a Nephrologist as of September this year.
The former U.S. Army Special Forces (Airborne) member received his Doctor of Medicine at the University of Mississippi Medical School, and completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii. Dr. Reynolds completed his fellowship in Nephrology at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, DC.
Board Certified in both Internal Medicine and Nephrology, Dr. Reynolds comes to Meridian after serving as Chief of Nephrology at Brooke Army Medical Center, the flagship of U.S. Army medicine in Texas. During his career he as served as an assistant professor of medicine at several universities and as a Field Surgeon for the 101st Forward Support Battalion, 1st Infantry Division, Operation Iraqi Freedom.
“Dr. Reynolds brings his extensive training in the much-needed specialty of Nephrology to patients in our service area,” said John Eakes, IMC administrator.
Internal Medicine Clinic PLLC was founded in 1972 by Joel T. Callahan, MD; A. Gary Boone, MD; and Thomas H. Greer Jr., MD. Today, IMC is a comprehensive, multi-specialty clinic offering a wide array of health care services.
IMC currently has 17 physicians in its group practicing internal medicine, cardiology, family practice, gastroenterology, nephrology and pulmonary medicine, as well as nurse practitioners and more than 80 staff members.
