The annual 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb was held on Sept. 11 at the downtown parking garage in Meridian as a tribute to the New York Fire Department firefighters. Participants climbed or walked the equivalent of the 110 stories of the World Trade Center to recognize the sacrifice of the fallen first responders and symbolically complete their heroic journey to save others.
