The Meridian Police Department reported the following incidents from Thursday through Monday.

  • Commercial burglary — 1400 block of Hamilton Ave. at 9:47 p.m.
  • Stolen vehicle — 3200 block of 47th St. at 6:13 a.m.
  • Shooting — 2400 block of 5th St. at 3:18 p.m.

  • Residential burglary — 3900 block of Davis St. at 4:46 a.m.

Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department

The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests between 6 a.m. Thursday and 6 a.m. Monday.

  • Failure to pay
  • Failure to answer a citation
  • Controlled substance violations
  • Sale of beer/wine to minor, intoxicated or insane persons
  • Possession of methamphetamine
  • DUI other substance first offense, lighting equipment requirements, violation of seat belt law and failure to maintain liability insurance
  • DUI first zero tolerance, no/expired driver’s license and failure to maintain liability insurance
