Area MSU grads named Stephen D. Lee Scholars

Six East Mississippi residents were recently recognized as Stephen D. Lee Scholars during Mississippi State University’s spring 2024 commencement exercises.

Altogether, 113 students attained this honor among nearly 3,500 spring graduates. Stephen D. Lee Scholars have achieved a cumulative 4.0 grade point average during their college careers.

Area students named Stephen D. Lee Scholars were:

— Mary Booker, of Philadelphia, who studied microbiology and earned a Bachelor of Science degree from MSU’s College of Arts and Sciences.

— Grace Brown, of Meridian, who studied food science, nutrition and health promotion, and earned a Bachelor of Science degree from MSU’s College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.

— Harper Bryan, of Collinsville, who studied poultry science, and earned a Bachelor of Science degree from MSU’s College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.

— Landry Jones, of Hickory, who studied kinesiology and earned a Bachelor of Science degree from MSU’s College of Education.

— Railey Mayatt, of Collinsville, MS, who studied biomedical engineering and earned a Bachelor of Science degree from MSU’s Bagley College of Engineering.

— John Young, of Meridian, who studied kinesiology, and earned a Bachelor of Science degree from MSU’s College of Education.
