Meridian Police Department
The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests between 6 a.m. Thursday and 6 a.m. Friday:
• Aggravated assault/domestic violence – Keira T. McCoy, 18, 1423 26th Ave. Lot 1, Meridian.
• Domestic violence – Tommy Lard, born in 1998, 2427 4th Ave. Apt. 15A, Meridian. Lard is also charged with disorderly conduct, carrying a concealed weapon.
• Domestic violence – Carrio McNeil, born in 1989, 1803 29th St. Apt. 111, Meridian.
• Simple assault – Jalisa Silliman, born in 1996, 530 57th Ave., Meridian.
• Driving under the influence/first offense – Marcus Burton, born in 1982, 4316 35th Ave., Meridian. Burton is also charged with possession of paraphernalia.
Incident Reports
The Meridian Police Department reported the following incidents from Thursday to Friday:
Auto burglary
• 1400 block of 51st Ave. at 4:43 p.m.
Shootings
• 3900 block of 5th St. at 9:53 p.m.
• Meridian Police responded to 5 shots fired calls but when officers arrived on the scene only one showed evidence to support the call.
Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department
The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests from 8:44 a.m. Thursday and 8:43 a.m. Friday.
• Suspended driver’s license – John Thomas Cowins, 63, 101 Chandler Road, 132, Greer S.C.
• Suspended driver’s license – Taylor Keith Hoffer, 22, 1852 Long Creek Road, Meridian. Hoffer is also charged with improper equipment, no liability insurance.
• Possession of cocaine/two counts – Francisco A. Sanchez, 35, 1008 65th Ave., Meridian. Sanchez is also charged with possession of methamphetamine.
• Contempt of court – Jonathan Walker Sipp, 26, 4640 Poplar Springs Dr. C12, Meridian.
• Felony DUI – Brandon Clayton Smith, 37, 522 55th Ave., Meridian.
• Embezzlement – Charles John Zdenek III, 43, 430 CR 6752, Quitman.
