When will we stop gun violence?

When is it going to be enough? How many more people will have to die at the hands of others, through gun violence, especially our young people, before something is done about it.

We need to do more than talk and pray about it. We all need to do something to stop the senseless deaths due to gun violence. By taking the guns out of the hands of those who would go out of their way to shoot, and kill others with them. By making sure they can’t get their hands on them in the first place. And punish those who give or sell them the guns.

No one should have to bury a loved one and have their family torn apart due to gun violence.

We need longer background checks among other things. We need a lot of government agencies working together to prevent senseless deaths by those who don’t need to get their hands on guns, for many reasons including mental ones.

It is not a Second Amendment issue, it is a human rights issue. We all deserve to live, not be gunned down by a crazy person with a gun, a gun they should not be able to get their hands on in the first place.

We don’t deserve to have our love ones taken from us by someone with a gun, going around shooting people just because they can. That’s no reason to do something like that.

We all deserve the right to feel safe, and protected from all that, and from those who would do such things to us.
