The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department asks for the community’s help in locating an armed robbery suspect, Meridian native Jordan Dashawn Smith.

Deputies have identified Smith, 26, as a suspect in an armed robbery at Randy’s One-Stop #3, located at 369 Briarwood Road, that occurred around 8:15 a.m. Monday.

Smith entered the store, placed merchandise on the counter and “when the register was opened by a clerk (Smith) brandished a knife,” Sheriff Sollie said.

The department issued warrants for Smith’s arrest on charges for armed robbery and kidnapping, with additional charges possible, Sollie said.

Sollie said evidence included the merchandise left behind and video footage.
