Mental health, diversity seminar planned at workforce development center

Weems Community Mental Health Center and Meridian Community College will be hosting a free seminar called “Fitting in when you’re different… Understanding Diversity,” from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 18 at the MCC-Riley Workforce Development Center, Room 171, 1524 Highway 19 in Meridian.
Speakers at the event will be Dr. Le Le Marlow, licensed psychologist at Weems Community Mental Health Center, and Samuel McGee, social marketing/cultural competency coordinator from NFusionX Crossover.
The seminar will discuss mental health issues such as depression, autism and ADHD. Also, the seminar will include topics about bullying and diversity in the workplace and in the classroom.
The free seminar is made possible due to a partnership among Weems Community Health Center, NFusionX Crossover and MCC. It is funded by grants through the Mississippi Department of Mental Health.
