A shooting was reported Tuesday morning on campus at Meridian Community College near the Adult Education Building.

 

In a news release, Director of Public Information Kay Thomas said the situation is under control with no ongoing threat, and law enforcement is investigating the incident.

 

“We are working closely with law enforcement to understand the circumstances surrounding this incident,” Thomas said. “Updates will be shared as soon as possible.”

 

Counseling services are available to MCC students, faculty and staff if needed.
