Holmes Community College forward Kristen Phillips, of Collinsville, has been named to the 2024 Women’s Soccer All-MACCC Team, the Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference announced earlier this week.
Phillips was one of four Holmes players selected for the First Team honor, along with two honorable mention selections. Forward Bailee Fairley, also of Collinsville, was an honorable mention selection.
Phillips and Fairley were both standout soccer players for West Lauderdale High School, helping to lead its girls team to a 4A state championship in 2023.
Other Holmes players selected for the First Team were defender Christina Guzman and midfielders KK Morris and Kate DeAngelo.
Midfielder Brooklynn Samonski was an honorable mention selection.
Lauren Smith, of Birmingham, a forward with the Meridian Community College Lady Eagles soccer team, was also chosen First Team All-MACCC. Saige Kirkbride, of Ocean Springs, a defender for East Central Community College’s women’s soccer team, was named Second Team All-MACCC.
The All-MACCC Teams and Player of the Year honors were voted on by a panel of the conference’s women’s head soccer coaches.
