ON THE GO: Dinner theater murder mystery plays through weekend at MLT

- An Inheritance of Murder plays Thursday through Sunday at Meridian Little Theatre.
Who doesn’t like a good who-done-it murder mystery? Combine that with a delicious three-course meal and you have the recipe for Meridian Little Theatre’s “An Inheritance of Murder” dinner show.
The show runs from Thursday, March 21 through Sunday, March 24. Doors open at 6 for the evening performances and 12:30 p.m. for Sunday’s matinee.
This traditional drawing room mystery will keep you guessing right through dessert, with audience participation in the play. Sidney Covington and Clint Brown star.

Join the members of Northcrest Baptist Church at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 21 for Living Room Reset with Kirk Cameron and special music guest, Matt Hammitt of Sanctus Real. Cameron, former cast member for the TV series “Growing Pains,” will be speaking on marriage and parenting with laughter, prayer, learning and worship.

As part of Meridian Community College’s Arts & Letters Series, The MCC Dimensions show group will perform at 7 p.m. Thursday at The Tommy E. Dulaney Center, 915 Highway 19 North, across the street from the college. The Dimensions feature a live band and their style includes pop, classic rock, rhythm and blues, Motown and hip-hop.

Friday at The MAX
The Mississippi Arts + Entertainment Experience will host a movie night from 7-8:30 p.m. Friday, featuring Jim Henson’s “Labyrinth.” The film will be introduced by Ward Emling, retired director of the Mississippi Film Commission. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the film is free and open to the public.
The Jim Henson Exhibition: Imagination Unlimited open for extended hours, 6-9 p.m., with $5 admission cost. See the film and then view the exhibition featuring more than 20 original puppets, television clips, storyboards and much more of Henson’s incredible career.

Festival Saturday
The Allie Cat Run & Festival will be held at City Hall from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. Saturday. Join the Carruth family and friends in beginning Donate Life Awareness Month by honoring the life of Allie Carruth. The event celebrates lives made possible through the generosity of organ and tissue donors.
The 5K run/2 mile walk begins at 9 a.m. and there will be inflatables, a mechanical bull, face painting, live music and food for your enjoyment.
• The MAX will host a Make + Take Workshop at 1 p.m. Saturday, featuring playwriting. This artistic opportunity offers a chance for participants to have a hands-on experience and a creative work to take with them. This event is free with $5 admission.
• “In God’s Hands,” will be presented by Alvin Moore Entertainment, from 7-10 p.m. Saturday at the Temple Theater, 2320 8th St., Meridian, with free parking across the street. Ticket prices are $17-$40 and may be purchased at www.alvinmooreentertainment.com. For group rates, call (601) 685-0906.
