Lamar players selected to play in basketball, soccer All-Star games

Several members of the Lamar School basketball and soccer programs made the MAIS All-Star team, the school’s announced on its Instagram page Wednesday.

Seniors Ambreah Waters and Katie Shaffer, who helped lead the Lady Raiders to an MAIS Overall championship last weekend, were selected to compete in the girls All-Star game. Tipoff is schedule for 3:30 p.m. Friday at Jackson Prep.

In boys basketball, senior Joseph Hutchinson was selected to play in the boys All-Star game, which tips off at 5 p.m. Friday at Jackson Prep.

Three senior Lamar boys soccer players will play in the boys All-Star game, which takes place at 3 p.m. Thursday at Jackson Academy. Jake Davidson, William Majure and Leland Moseley all made the All-Star game after helping lead the Raiders to its second-consecutive MAIS Class AAAA, Division II state championship late last month.
