Shloop, in collaboration with the Choctaw Area Council, Scouting America, announced Monday the launch of the Camp Binachi Shoe, a unique and sustainable footwear line steeped in Scouting history and crafted from repurposed tent canvas from the iconic Camp Binachi Scout Camp.
More than just a shoe, the Camp Binachi Shoe is a wearable piece of Scouting heritage. Each pair is crafted from genuine tent canvas that once sheltered generations of Scouts at Camp Binachi, a landmark in scouting where countless individuals built character, learned valuable skills, and created lasting memories.
“We are thrilled to partner with Shloop on this meaningful project,” Choctaw Area Council Scout Executive/CEO James Hulgan said. “Camp Binachi holds a special place in the hearts of Scouts throughout our area, and to see its history repurposed into these unique shoes is truly inspiring. It’s a fantastic way to keep the spirit of Camp Binachi alive. Now, we need the community to rally behind this vision to bring these shoes to production.”
To make the Camp Binachi Shoe a reality, however, the collaboration needs to reach 100 pre-orders by March 7. The pre-order goal is needed to launch production and ensure the piece of Scouting history can be shared with everyone.
The Camp Binachi Shoe perfectly embodies the values of Scouting – durability, practicality, and respect for the outdoors. Carefully crafted for modern adventurers and Scouting enthusiasts alike, these shoes offer a distinctive design while deeply honoring the rich traditions of Camp Binachi and Scouting.
