Robert Hale-Smith exhibit opens at MCC’s Casteel Gallery

Art enthusiasts and members of the community enjoyed an afternoon of fine art and conversation Thursday as a new exhibit featuring the works of Robert Hale-Smith opened at Meridian Community College’s Casteel Gallery.
A native of Pontotoc, James Robert Hale-Smith came to Meridian in 1970 to teach public speaking and theater at Meridian Community College. He retired after 30 years in 2000.
Hale-Smith’s works are exhibited at the A Gallery in Hattiesburg, Lounge Arts Gallery in Jackson and at the Miller Art Gallery at MCC. The exhibit featuring his works in the Casteel Gallery will run through March 27.
