The Meridian High School Wildcats defended their home turf Wednesday in a home contest against the visiting Pearl Pirates.
The Lady Wildcats kicked things off with a 45-21 win, improving to 6-1 in regional play. The boys team followed, defeating the Pirates 42-38 and improving to 4-3 in regional play.

The Wildcats are set to host Petal for their next matchup beginning at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
