Norwood seeks second term on Meridian City Council

Meridian City Councilman Joseph Norwood Jr. announced Wednesday he intends seek another term in office representing residents of Ward 3.

 

In a news release, Norwood noted accomplishments by the City Council over the past four years, including pay raises for law enforcement, infrastructure projects and economic development. While progress has been made throughout his term in office, Norwood said he believes there is still room for improvement.

“Serving the residents of Ward 3 has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life,” he said. “I am proud of what we have accomplished together, but there is still more work to be done. I am committed to continuing my efforts to make Meridian a place we proudly and safely call home.”

 

In his 2025 campaign, Norwood said he will focus on four issues that are of critical importance to Ward 3 residents, including youth programs, economic development, community safety and improving infrastructure.
