Meridian Community College hosts summer commencement

Lending rousing applause to cheers to well wishes, the Temple Theater for the Performing Arts audience gathered Friday afternoon saluted the academic achievements of the Meridian Community College’s Summer Class of 2015.
Some 134 students were candidates for graduation that included the awarding of certificates, associate of arts and associate of applied science degrees. Also at the event, 10 outstanding graduates were tapped for inclusion in the College’s Circle of Excellence. These graduates, Amy Denise Holmes of Waynesboro; Amber Delaine Holifield of Quitman; Angela Marie Harden and Stephanie Michelle Lunsford, both of Collinsville; Jordan Alesa Chambliss of Louisville; Ashleyanne Berthelette of Raleigh, Kelly Nicole Holloman of Stonewall; Latrishe Denise Smith of Meridian; Paphanij Stegall of Livingston, Ala.; and Chelsea Vernet Parham of Chesapeake, Va.; were chosen on the basis of scholarship, leadership, spirit and service.
