Meridian Police Department

    The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests between 8:44 a.m. Friday and 8:43 a.m. Monday:

    • Possession of cocaine – Samuel Earl Brewer, 48, 7100 Old Hwy 80 W. A8, Meridian. Brewer is also charged with contempt of court, shoplifting and domestic violence.

    • Domestic violence – Willie Dejuan Coleman, 30, 2731 40th St., Meridian.

    • Indecent exposure – Jimmy Lewis Hornsby, 55, 4305 36th Ave., Meridian. Hornsby is also charged with disorderly conduct.

    • Burglary, dwelling house – Curtis Robert Latney, 27, 149 Jeffrey Acres Road 3A, Meridian. Latney is also charged with disorderly conduct and giving false information.

    • Domestic violence – Roylando Santez McAllister, 34, 918 38th Ave., Meridian.

    • Possession of marijuana in vehicle – Selena Ann Roberts, 43, 8261 Old Hwy 494, Collinsville. Roberts is also charged with possession of paraphernalia.

    • Felon in possession of firearm – Craig Monroe Toole, 21, 2428 Old Marion Road, Meridian.

    • Public drunk – Kristopher K. Whobrey, 22, 325 North Shore Drive, Toomsuba. Whobrey is also charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.

    • Aggravated assault – Rodriquez Levon Winfield, 29, 1206 27th Ave., Meridian. Winfield is also charged with sale of marijuana, less than 30 grams, intimidating a witness, probation violation/parole and two counts of contempt of court.

    • Simple assault – Lewis Mitchell, born in 1961.

    • Driving under the influence (DUI) – Ira Chumbiss, born in 1960.

    • Petit larceny – Colton McConell, born in 1990.

    • DUI – Jimmy Lane, born in 1967.

    • DUI – Carol  L. Puckett Jr., born in 1983.

    • Possession of marijuana – Jonathan W. Sipp, born in 1991.

    • DUI – Latasha Ruffin, born in 1989.

    • DUI – Joseph A. Correia, born in 1992.

    • 100 block of 34th Avenue, Meridian.

    • 2100 block of 14th Street, Meridian.

Shootings

     Meridian police responded to 5 shots-fired calls. Officers were unable to find evidence to support the calls.

Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department

    The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests between 8:44 a.m. Friday and 8:43 a.m. Monday:

    • DUI, first offense – Bobby Ridell Mosley, 44, 2600 Old Marion Road, Meridian. Mosley is also charged with careless driving and no liability insurance.

    • DUI, first offense – Andrew Ulmer Nelson, 21, 309 Sucarnoochee Road, Porterville.

    • DUI, first offense – Daniel Robert Nelson, 29, 495 Sucarnoochee Road, Porterville.

    • Compulsory school attendance – Fannie L. Nickelson, 52, 2814 19th St., Meridian.

    • DUI, first offense – Gerald Dalton Patterson, 28, 8341 Old Poplar Springs Drive, Meridian. Patterson is also charged with no liability insurance, improper driver’s license and seat-belt violation.

    • Domestic violence – Deborah Denise Poteet, 61, 5340 Cherry Lane, Meridian.

    • DUI, first offense – Montrell Cortez Ramsey, 19, 5056 37th St., Meridian. Ramsey is also charged with possession of marijuana in vehicle, possession of controlled substance, no liability insurance, careless driving and driving without headlights.

    • Failure to appear (justice court), three counts – Eric Lewis Roberts, 44, 2016 26th Ave., Meridian.

    • Failure to pay (justice court) – Henry Terell Ruffin, 34, 6630 Siegen Lane, Baton Rouge, LA.

    • Child support failure to pay – Fredrick R. Scott, 39, 1419 11th Ave., Meridian.
