The Mississippi Arts Commission’s (MAC) annual grant application deadline for organizations and individual artists is Monday, March 2, 2015.
MAC awards grants that support a wide range of arts activities, from fellowships for professional artists to project grants for activities produced by community organizations, as well as operating grants to nonprofit arts and arts service organizations.
The agency’s website (www.arts.ms.gov) includes detailed information on each of the grant categories, including downloadable application forms. MAC also offers eGRANT, an online application system for all of its grant programs that has been extensively updated, simplifying the process for applicants, an agency press release states.
For applicants using MAC’s eGRANT system to submit their application, please note that the system will close at 5 p.m. on March 2. All electronic applications must be submitted before that time to be eligible for review.
First-time applicants are strongly encouraged to contact MAC staff and discuss their project before submitting an application. MAC can be reached at 601-359-6030.
The Mississippi Arts Commission is a state agency, funded by the Mississippi Legislature, the National Endowment for the Arts, the Mississippi Endowment for the Arts at the Community Foundation of Greater Jackson, and other private sources.
MAC is the official grants-making and service agency for the arts in Mississippi. The agency serves as an active supporter and promoter of arts in community life and in arts education.
