The accident occurred shortly before 6 a.m. on Highway 513, about 1/2 mile north of Highway 145 inside the Quitman city limits, the MHP report states.

According to the report, Cornella Robinson, 26, was driving a 2000 Honda Accord on Highway 513 when she lost control of the car, which struck a tree.

Marveanna, who was a passenger in the car, was ejected from the car upon impact, the report states.

Two other children, ages 5 and 6, who were also passengers in the car, were injured in the wreck as was Robinson, the MHP reports.

The wreck is the second fatality on area roads in recent days.

Preston resident Howard A. Johnson died in a single car accident in Kemper County Thursday evening.

According to an MHP report, Johnson, 27, was driving north on Highway 21 near Anderson Acres Road about 5:20 p.m. when his vehicle left the road, struck an embankment and overturned.
