Funeral services for Dorothy H. McWilliams will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Webb Funeral Home Chapel, with Brother Randy Caldwell officiating. Burial will be in the Forest Lawn Cemetery. James F. Webb Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. McWilliams, 85, of Meridian, passed away on Friday, March 6, 2015, at her home. She was a clerical secretary and worked for years with her husband at McWilliams Upholstery Shop. She loved to read her Bible and sing; she and three of her brothers sang on the radio show that their father preached on. She was a member of Pine Springs Southern Methodist Church, Longstreet Eastern Star and Dick McWilliams American Legion Auxillary Post.
She is survived by her daughters, Judith Snodgrass (Charles), Peggy Joe Campbell and Mary E. Fulcher (Joel “Rusty”); son, Richard R. McWilliams (Teri); 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She is preceded in death by her husband, E.R. “Dick” McWilliams; mother and father, the Rev. Abner and Hattie Harmon; sisters, Mabel Crum, Velma Slay, Louise Allen, Elwyn McMillion and Virginia Thompson; and brothers, James Harmon, Paul Harmon and J.W. Harmon.
Visitation will be held Monday, from 5 p.m.-7 p.m., at the funeral home.
