The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests between 9 a.m. Thursday to 9 a.m. Friday:

• Shoplifting – Jerry Ivy, born 1962, 5510 Cooper Circle, Meridian.
• Taking away of a motor vehicle – Jayvion K. Smith, born 1999, 2020 30th Ave., Meridian.

Shootings
• Meridian Police Officers responded to 6 shots fired calls. When Officers arrived on scene they were unable to find evidence to support the calls.
Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department
The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests between 9 a.m. Thursday to 9 a.m. Friday:
• No liability insurance – Travis Bethea, 21, 3914 Poplar Springs Drive 21, Meridian. Bethea is also being charged with seat belt violation – sheriff’s office, suspended driver’s license and expired tag.
• Simple assault causing bodily injury – Santana Bingham, 28, 1882 County Road 35, Heidelburg. Bingham is also being charged with three counts of simple assault.
• No proof of insurance – Michael Tyler Cook, 22, 4437 Shelby Gressett Road, Toomsuba. Cook is also being charged with failure to dim headlights, suspended driver’s license, improper equipment, careless driving and littering.
• Domestic violence – Lewis A. Donovan, 24, 7557 Pine Springs Road, Meridian.
• Disturbance of family – Amanda Lee Dubose, 47, 1770 Bunk Newell Road, Meridian.
• Careless driving – Errol John Etie, 37, 18622 Highway 15, Decatur. Etie is also being charged with DUI-first and no proof of insurance.
• Domestic violence – Ava Jean Keel, 27, 7557 Pine Springs Road, Meridian.
• DUI – other substances – Patrick Isaiah Kelly, 30, 117 53rd Ave., Meridian. Kelly is also being charged with possession of marijuana-first offense.
• Suspended driver’s license – Jamie Lee Manley, 23, 4190 25th Ct., Meridian. Manley is also being charged with failure to dim headlights.
• DUI – first – Jeffery S. Nester, 33, 299 Spring Hill Road, Meridian.
• Failure to pay – justice court (two counts) – Douglas E. Savell, 21, 10415 Rabbit Road Lot 32, Lauderdale.
