Charles and Barbara McGee of Meridian celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on March 29, 2013, with an event hosted by their children at the home of the couple’s daughter, Lisa Irby. The McGees were married on March 22, 1963, and have two daughters: Debbie Hartman and her husband, Buddy, of York, Pa., and Lisa Irby and her husband, Marcus, of Meridian; and six grandchildren. Mr. McGee is retired from Delco Remy and the Army National Guard. Mrs. McGee is retired from Highway Express. Mrs. McGee is the former Barbara Ann Singley of Meridian.
