Services for Jordan Raynese Houston will be on Saturday at 11 a.m. at Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church with burial at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Enterprise Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Miss Houston, 11, was born December 4, 2001. She was a happy and lovable child from the very start of her life. She mothered her younger sisters which showed us she was heading to be a good mom someday. Jordan was a wonderful student at T.J. Harris Elementary School. Jordan was an active karate and soccer player as well as a member of Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church Sunday School, Youth Choir, and Usher Board. Jordan departed this life Saturday June 29, 2013 at Batson Children Hospital in Jackson.
Survivors include her parents, Sadeca Devoin Jordan Houston and Johnny Ray Houston; sisters, Tywanna Shontiaa Mosley, Journey Rayvoin Houston, and Jace Raylee Houston; grandmothers, Linda Faye Jordan and Ella Mae Houston; grandfather, Curtis Edward (Sherry) Adams; aunts, Mary (Billy) Grace, Belinda Grace, Ruby (Joe) Brown, Rosey (Curtis) Brown, Thelema (Hansel) Jackson, Gloria Houston, Blessa Marie Jordan, Tamika (Kelly) Vaden, Ramona (Jarrol) Thompson, Alicia (Luke) Engram, Summer Shumpert; uncles, Leslie (Josephine) Simmons, Henry Houston, Billy (Sarah) Houston, Ray Charles Houston, Arthur (Cynthia) Houston, John (Pamela)Houston, Samuel Happoldt, Jarvis Mitchell, Eric (Carin) Hopkins, Tanoka (Monique) Adams, ChaRandle Jordan, John Jordan; great-aunt, Tina (Fred) Dozier, Polly Campbell, Fannie Mae Lanier; great-uncle, Leonard (Leslie) Jordan, Jr., Tim Adams, great-grandmother, Ida Mae Jordan.
Visitation will be today from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the funeral home and one hour prior to services on Saturday at the church.
