Sarah Ruth Ethridge Sims

     Services for Sarah Ruth Ethridge Sims will be held Wednesday, at 11 a.m., at Pine Grove Church in Collinsville with Rev. Joseph Hallman officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Stephens Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

    Mrs. Sims, 89, of Meridian, died Monday, Feb. 27, 2012, at The Oaks Rehab Center. She was a native of Lauderdale County and was a homemaker.

    Survivors include her granddaughters: Karen Westby-Gibson of Southaven, and Sherry Poole of Meridian; brothers: Ikie Ethridge and Jackie Ethridge; and her caregiver, Tonya Crenshaw, all of Collinsville.

    She was preceded in death by her husbands’: Dalton Poole, Bob Shipley and Clarence (Doc) Sims; siblings: James Ethridge, William Ethridge and Eva Spears; son, Gene Poole; and grandson, Mickey Poole.

     Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church.
