Ralph Byrd and Legean Bragg Byrd will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary at a reception on Sunday, Feb. 20, 2011, from 2 p.m.-3:30 p.m., in the fellowship hall of York Baptist Church in York, Ala. The event is hosted by their children, Steve and Joy Byrd and Sherry Byrd, and their granddaughter, Shannon Byrd. The couple were married on Feb. 18, 1961, at the bride’s home in Ward, Ala., by the Rev. Leslie Ezell. Friends and family are invited to attend the reception. The couple requests no gifts.
