Described as a madcap blend of classic and original sideshow stunts, Cut Throat Freak Show is being presented by Burning Tikiman Productions.

Music with Cut Throat Freak Show will be supplied by DJ Busy. Also scheduled to appear Friday is recording artist Stereo Storm Trooper. Musical hosts are DJ Devon Wells with special guest Garrett Ip. Bands scheduled also include Sneaky Tree and This B*tch Knows Karate.

Billy Lyons, of Burning Tikiman, said there’s a need for Meridian to have concerts on a monthly basis. His annual Burning Tikiman event is held outdoors at his TNT Tattoo Art Gallery on Highway 39 around Halloween each year. 2010 was the sixth year for that event.

In his effort to promote more original music and artists, Lyons said Burning Tikiman has partnered with the Temple Theater.

“We’re testing the waters. We want to see if Meridian is ready,” Lyons said.

T-shirts and CDs by the artists will be available as well as food. Attendees must be 21 to drink alcohol. The doors open at 7 p.m.
