Mr. and Mrs. Larry Brooks announce the engagement of their daughter, Ashley Nicole, to Kevin Vashone Alford, son of Mae Alford of Meridian.

    The wedding will be held Saturday, June 19, 2010, at 3 p.m. at Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church in Collinsville.

    Miss Brooks is the granddaughter of Helen Autman of Collinsville.

    The bride-elect is a 2005 graduate of Newton County High School. She is currently pursuing a degree in elementary education at Mississippi State University.

    Miss Brooks is employed by Citizens National Bank.

    Mr. Alford is the grandson of Mrs. Mildred Alford of Meridian.

    The bridegroom-elect is a 1996 graduate of Southeast Lauderdale High School.

    Mr. Alford is employed by Bowers Auto Inc.

    A reception will follow the ceremony at Quality Inn.

    Family and friends are invited to attend.

    After a honeymoon in Cancun, Mexico, the couple will reside in Collinsville.
