Mrs. Jacob Eugene Allison (Mrs. Allison is the former Maryanne Ainsworth Bruister)

    Maryanne Ainsworth Bruister and Jacob Eugene Allison were married on Saturday, June 19, 2010, at Henderson Beach State Park in Destin, Fla., with the Rev. Danny Nelson officiating the evening ceremony on the Gulf of Mexico.

    The bride is the daughter of Ms. Gloria Brown Bruister of Mt. Sterling, Ala. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jay Lavelle Brown of Meridian and the late Mr. and Mrs. Hiram Benjamin Bruister of Mt. Sterling, Ala.

    The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Edmond Jacob Allison Jr. of Hueytown, Ala. He is the grandson of Mrs. Jean Warren Clark of Hueytown and the late G. James Clark and the late Mr. and Mrs. Edmond Jacob Allison Sr. of Hueytown.

    Given in marriage by her family, the bride was escorted by her brother-in-law, Todd Morgan. She wore and Alfred Angelo designer gown of diamond white silk taffeta. The strapless bodice featured soft sheering and was accented at the bustline with Austrian crystals, pearls and iridescents. The softly draped sheath skirt fell to the knees, where it flared into a mermaid silhouette featuring a chapel-length train. She carried a bouquet of hand-tied white calla lilies accented by miniature starfish.

    Amber Bruister Morgan of Lauderdale attended her sister as matron of honor.

    Bridesmaids were Courtney Michelle Hamrick of West Point, Ga., Nichole Schilleci Wyatt of Tuscaloosa, and Lindsey McCall Morgan of Moss Point.

    Shadow Marie Goodrich of Scooba was the flower girl.

    Christopher Jason Winslett of Birmingham attended the bridegroom as his best man.

    Groomsmen were Austin David Phillips of Bessemer, Wesley Kyle McDougal and Daniel Stephen Crumly of Hueytown.

    Following the ceremony, a reception was held at The Culinary Center in Miramar Beach.

    On Friday, June 18, 2010, the bride and her attendants were honored with a luncheon at the Crab Trap restaurant in Destin, hosted by the bride’s mother and sister. On the eve of the wedding, the bridal party celebrated at a rehearsal dinner at Café Italia in Ft. Walton Beach, hosted by the parents of the bridegroom.    After a honeymoon trip to St. Lucia, the couple is at home in Pelham.
