Signposts on the road to Armageddon

The prophecy of God says there is a journalistic storyline to be written in the near future that comes from the book of Daniel. At the mid-tribulation action, the news release will declare a statement to this effect, ‘After 3 ? years the new Worldwide leader that was supported by ten powerful nations, sometimes referred to as the Beast, has announced in Jerusalem, Israel that there will be no more animal sacrifices in the Temple.
In response to this action there was not one western power nor was there a religious group that expressed descent against this action. Simply look at his accomplishments since taking office. He is the leader that was able to bring peace and financial stability to the world. In this delicate decade who could believe that peace could have been achieved by signing a peace accord with Israel after the Russian-Iranian invasion rolled across Syria. Israel destroyed 5 out of 6 of the invading enemy and a decisive victory is declared with the burial of the enemy on the mountains of Israel.’

The preceding paragraph could be written in the near future. What will history record a reality of the prophecy of Daniel 9:27 (AMP)? Daniel wrote in approximately 539 BC, “And he will enter into a binding and irrevocable covenant with the many for one week (seven years), but in the middle of the week he will stop the sacrifice and grain offering [for the remaining three and one-half years]; and (at the temple) on the wing of abominations will come one who makes desolate, even until the complete destruction, one that is decreed, is poured out on the one who causes the horror.”
In this current age we know that a Jewish Temple does not exist on the Temple Mount and war will break out should any movement be made by the people of Israel to provide a Temple that will be used in the Tribulation period on the Temple Mount. In fact, Robert Cornuke, author of the new book titled, “TEMPLE,” provides a suggestion that the original Temple was actually located about one half mile from the Temple Mount. Cornuke raises the question; Could history be wrong as he presents new discoveries regarding Soloman’s Temple location?
Daniel says, by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, there will be a Temple in Jerusalem during the Tribulation period as quoted above. A replica of the Temple was built in Sao Paulo, Brazil in four years at a cost of $317 million. With this data we know the approximate construction time and a budget that could be used to duplicate. Not only is preparation underway to build the Temple, but the priesthood is preparing for priestly service and ritual in the re-built Temple. The Jews are taking practical steps to prepare for the building of the third temple in Jerusalem by preparing descendants of the priesthood and the Levites for service in this next Temple. Following the book of Leviticus the priestly leadership has established a training center where temple priests can learn exactly how to conduct the daily temple services and offer the required sacrifices as dictated by the Jewish laws. The Temple Institute has prepared all the implements to be used in the next Temple, and The Harrari Harp Factory has made the harps to be used. The cornerstone by which they hope to start construction is made and ready to begin.
Bible prophecy says that there will be a temple on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem in the last days. Jesus said in Matthew 24:15 that “when you see the abomination that causes desolation…let the reader understand.” Paul records this another way in 2 Thessalonians 2:4 that this world leader “who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the Temple of God, showing himself that he is God.”
