The mystery of a Clarke County man who went missing six months ago may have been solved.
Clarke County Chief Deputy Barry White said the remains of Patrick Sellers, 37, were believed to have been discovered Thursday night inside his overturned vehicle near a wooded area near County Road 621. The discovery of the vehicle was initially made by a landowner.

“We did find remains in the vehicle which were decomposed,” White said. “The remains are going to Jackson for autopsy. The remains will probably be DNA tested for 100 percent certainty.”
The vehicle was approximately 360 feet from the county road. White said once officers saw the license plate on the Chevrolet Lumina, they realized it was most likely the vehicle they had been looking for for some time. An area pond was drained in September during the search for Sellers.
“We’re treating it as a traffic accident,” White said. “No foul play is suspected.”
