Meridian Police Department
The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests between 8:44 a.m. Friday and 8:43 a.m. Monday:
• Driving under the influence (DUI), first offense – Johnny Earl Harper, 42, 5052 Causeyville Road, Meridian. Harper is also charged with no liability insurance.
• Shoplifting – Tammy R. Porter, born in 1963, 17 County Road, Meridian.
• DUI, first offense – Travis Eugene Lanier, 43, 245 Shelton Shelby Road, Meridian. Lanier is also charged with improper equipment.
• DUI – Gary Smith, born in 1980, 2425 State Boulevard, Meridian.
• Shoplifting – John David Rawlings, 50, 2584 Peavy Road, Chunky. Rawlings is also charged with two counts of failure to appear (justice court).
• Shoplifting – Lavelle D. Lemons, 55, 2269 Johnnie Lane, Greenville.
• Willful trespassing – Dedrick Demon Grady, 21, 5695 Cooper Circle, Meridian. Grady is also charged with carrying a concealed weapon and contempt of court.
• DUI – Kerig Gowdy, born in 1994, 3250 15th St., Meridian.
• Public drunkenness – Tironsiad Nash, born in 1978, 816 30th Ave., Meridian.
• Disorderly conduct, two counts – Larry K. Scott, 32, 8225 King Road, Meridian. Scott is also charged with two counts of public profanity and driving with a suspended license.
• DUI – Milon Young, born in 1991, 7308 Cochran Lane, Meridian.
• Public drunkenness – Darsey Elliot Gooden, 50, 525 Fifth St., San Fransico, Calif.
• Simple assault on a minor – Jecobie Q. Chaney, 28, 624 64th Ave., Meridian.
• Murder – Marquez A. Green, 18, 9598 Serton Road, Lauderdale. Green is also charged with possession of a stolen firearm.

Auto Burglaries
• 3600 block of 35th Street, Meridian.
• 700 block of 47th Avenue, Meridian.
• 400 block of Lake Drive, Meridian.
• 1700 block of Second Street, Meridian.
Residential Burglary
• 100 block of 34th Avenue, Meridian.
Shootings
• 4300 block of Fifth Street, Meridian.
Meridian police responded to three shots-fired calls. Officers were unable to find evidence to support the calls.
Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department
The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests between 8:44 a.m. Friday and 8:43 a.m. Monday:
• Simple assault, domestic – Billy Joe Burnham, 33, 933 Chesney Town Road, Little Rock. Burnham is also charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.
• Simple assault, domestic – Corderick Demond Burton, 28, 5866 Seth Cobb Road, Lauderdale.
• Possession of methamphetamine – Brian Keith Jackson, 42, Montoe St., Clinton.
• DUI, first offense – Jamey Johnson, 27, 6621 Highway 489, Conehatta. Johnson is also charged with child endangerment.
• Burglary of dwelling, house – Dustin Trent Malone, 31, 10401 Road 1339, Philadelphia.
• Willful trespassing – Raymond Paul Marotte, 26, 9920 Grissom Road, Bailey.
• DUI, first offense – Kirk M. Murray, 36, 5860 Russell Topton Road, Toomsuba.
• DUI, first offense – Lonnie J. Nicholson Jr., 51, 497 Murphy Road, Meridian. Nicholson is also charged with careless driving, seat-belt violation, driving with a suspended license and contempt of court.
• Failure to appear (justice court) – William Randall Oglesby, 54, homeless.
• DUI, first offense – Frederick Lee Rogers, 46, 5215 Lakewood Drive, Meridian.
• DUI, first offense – Eric Lawrence Russell, 43, 351 Sweet Gum Bottom Road, Meridian. Russell is also charged with driving with a suspended license, careless driving and no liability insurance.
• Stalking – Marcus D. Smith, 37, 10818 Woods Road, Meridian.
• DUI, first offense – Lindsey C. Spinks, 26, 2226 29th Ave., Meridian. Spinks is also charged with no liability insurance, seat-belt violation and driving with a suspended license.
• DUI, first offense – Shyderica Taylor, 18, 3005 Seventh St., Meridian. Taylor is also charged with driving without a license, disregard of traffic device and no liability insurance.
• DUI, first offense – Donald Terrell, 48, 211 North Hills St., Meridian. Terrell is also charged with careless driving, no liability insurance and seat-belt violation.
• Burglary of dwelling, house – Matthew Jousha Wiltcher, 28, 612 East First St., Forrest.
