This Sunday Agape Storehouse Apostolic Church in Meridian will celebrate its 16th anniversary.
The Pastors Appreciation Service will begin at 10:15 a.m. Guest speaker for the service will be Bishop Clifton Jones of Philadelphia, Miss. An appreciation gathering is scheduled at 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 5.
The church was established by Pastor John H. and Co-Pastor Linda F. Willis in June 2000 and was located at 406 26th Ave. in the city of Meridian. The church doors opened on June 25, 2000 with Pastor Willis ministering the word of God with the subject “Come See a Man.” Agape Storehouse is founded on the word of God in John 13:35 – “By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.
Since its opening, God has blessed the church with more than 250 members. In 2009, God provided a new edifice at 4603 Highway 39 North. In this new edifice, Pastor and 1st Lady Willis are providing leadership to continue uplifting the hearts, strengthening the minds and empowering the spirit of all who enter the doors. The church motto is “Agape Storehouse is a Place for You and Me.”
Pastor and Co-Pastor John and Linda Willis express their gratitude with these words:It has been not only an honor, but a privilege to serve as Pastor and
“It has been not only an honor, but a privilege to serve as Pastor and Co-Pastor of Agape Storehouse Apostolic Church. To be able to preach God’s Word to a spiritually filled body of believers has made this Kingdom assignment a joy. God’s Word is always successful in accomplishing its objective. And what objective is that? Very simply, it’s the transformation of our lives and the building up of the Lord’s church. Our motivation for ministry, as Pastors, has always been the miracle of ‘seeing lives change.’ The Word of God is what has changed and continues to change the lives of God’s people. My greatest desire as a Pastor is to see lives transformed through the hearing and doing of the Word of God. Because of the people we serve, both church members and those in the community whom we come in contact with, the Lord has shown Linda and I that our labor is not in vain.
