Meridian Police Department
The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests between 8:44 a.m. Tuesday and 8:43 a.m. Wednesday:
• Driving under the influence (DUI), other substance – Frederick Shawanta Hudson, 37, 154 East Broach Road, Daleville. Hudson is also charged with driving with a suspended license, speeding, possession of marijuana, possession of controlled substance and being held for outside agency.
• Possession of stolen property – Ingrid U. Ibambasi, 24, 314 Marks St., Boise, Idaho.
• Disorderly conduct – Mario Deshone Craig, 21, 903 23rd St., Meridian.
• Aggravated assault – Jamon T. Matthews, 17, 521 18th Ave., Meridian.
• DUI, first offense – Lashell Rush, born in 1976, 4319 Hooper St., Meridian. Rush is also charged with failure to dim headlights.
• Shoplifting – Jane Rainer, born in 1960.

Auto Burglary
• 1000 block of Bonita Lakes Circle, Meridian.
Commercial Burglary
• 2800 block of Eighth Street, Meridian.
Residential Burglary
• 1000 block of Rubush Avenue, Meridian.
Shootings
• 2300 block of D Street, Meridian.
Meridian Police responded to 3 shots-fired calls but when officers arrived on scene there was no evidence found to support the calls.
Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department
The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests between 8:44 a.m. Tuesday and 8:43 a.m. Wednesday:
• Simple assault, attempt to create fear – Jeffrey Wade Freeman, 43, 8446 East Parkway South, Lauderdale.
• DUI, felony – Leonard Wayne Manis, 48, 10195 Highway 19 North, Collinsville.
• DUI, first offense – Tyler Blaine Ray, 18, 25629 Elmer Ladner Road, Pass Christian. Ray is also charged with speeding.
• Simple assault – John William Sanders II, 36, 535 Johnson Lane, Meridian. Sanders is also charged with eight counts of contempt of court.
