MDOT plans pavement preservation project for District 5

Mississippi Department of Transportation is set to begin a pavement preservation project in District 5 on Wednesday that will continue into the fall, weather permitting.

MDOT encourages motorists to pay attention to all signs, workers and equipment and be prepared for delays and intermittent stops.

Areas in Neshoba County include State Route 486, from State Route 491 to the Philadelphia city limits, and State Route 395, from State Route 19 to the Winston County line.

Areas in Kemper County include State Route 397, from State Route 16 to the Winston County line, and State Route 495, from State Route 16 to State Route 397.

Areas in Newton County include State Route 504, from State Route 15 to the Jasper County line, and State Route 503, from the railroad tracks in Hickory to the Jasper County line.
