The car slid forward in front of a northbound white Ford F-250, which hit the passenger side of the other vehicle, according to Meridian Police Sgt. Dareall Thompson.

Thompson said the vehicle, driven by a woman, slid over the guardrail and the man, a passenger in the vehicle, was taken to a local hospital where he died.

Thompson did not have a time of death for the man.
