In 1957, First Baptist Church Lauderdale was established as a mission project out of First Baptist Church of Meridian and was established as a church in 1973.

Rev. Louis Keeton was called as our first pastor. What started out as our first services, held in the Lauderdale Community Development Club Building. We soon grew and moved to a little house on land owned by Henry Thompson.

Over the years First Baptist Lauderdale has continued to grow in membership and in size of its facilities. Precious souls trusting the Lord with a longing to reach the lost in Lauderdale and abroad for Christ have joined together and expanded local ministries.

Our current pastor, Richie Davis, has continued this outreach to the Lauderdale community and abroad, continuing to establish a strong biblical based church body.

Our latest building project is the Family Life Center, which is not only a blessing to our church but is also used as an outreach to different community groups.

Continuing the tradition First Baptist Church Lauderdale will have their 44th annual Homecoming Celebration Sunday, Oct. 1, with guest speaker Mike Russell and guest music by Paul Barkley.

Sunday School will begin at 9:30 a.m. with worship at 10:45 a.m.

There will be a lunch following the service in the Family Life Center. Come join us as we celebrate our 44th annual Homecoming Celebration.
