Meridian Police Department

The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests between 6 a.m. Monday and 6 a.m. Tuesday:

• Child support/failure to pay – Jonas Dantwaine Johnson, 36, 1722 25th Ave., Meridian.

• Driving under the influence/second offense – Derek Fox, born in 1978, 5815 5th St. Fox is also charged with child endangerment/two counts, child restraint/two counts, no driver’s license, no insurance, speeding.

• Possession of marijuana – Quiaunte Blanks, born in 1995, 506 Front St. Blanks is also charged with giving false info.

• Possession of paraphernalia – Gary Rainer, born in 1973, 710 B St.

• Disturbance of business – Christopher Winstead, born in 1974, 5450 Vimville/Causeyville Road.

• Disorderly conduct – Edward Smith, born in 1976, 1815 36th Ave.

Auto burglary

• 1400 block of 24th Ave. at 8:14 a.m.

• 5700 block of 1st St. at 11:40 a.m.

• 2300 block of North Frontage Road at 7:23 p.m.

• 100 block of South Frontage Road at 10:32 p.m.

• 1200 block of 20th Ave. at 5:20 a.m.

Residential burglary

• 2500 block of Highland Ave. at 9:30 a.m.

• Meridian Police responded to 0 shots fired calls but when officers arrived on scene there was not any evidence found to support the calls.

Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department

The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests from 8:44 a.m. Monday and 8:43 a.m. Tuesday.

• Shoplifting/third offense – Jereshia Rayenna Adams, 23, 3547 North Shore Drive, Toomsuba.

• Possession of marijuana in a vehicle – Demitrius A. Bass, Jr., 25, 1169 Clark Road, Meridian. Bass is also charged with seat belt violation.

• Possession of methamphetamine – Leonard Calvin Tutor III, 46, 201 Watt St., Batesville.

• Armed robbery/two counts – John Wesley Whitehead III, 29, 3633 46th St., Meridian.
