Meridian Police Department

The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests between 6 a.m. Thursday and 6 a.m. Friday:

• Shoplifting – Brittnie Carlisle, born in 1987, 3604 N. Hills St.

• Public drunk – Jeremiah Rush, born in 1989, 1611 18th Ave. Rush is also charged with false information.

• Shoplifting – Kelvin Simion, born in 1998, 3598 Old Farburn Road.

• Domestic violence – Timothy Jenkins, born in 1982, 5655 Cooper Circle.

Incident Reports

The Meridian Police Department reported the following incidents from Thursday to Friday:

Residential burglary

• 3800 block of 42nd St. at 4:51 p.m.

• 2900 block of Highland Ave. at 8:52 p.m.

• 4700 block of 22nd St. at 1:14 a.m.

• Meridian Police responded to 3 shots fired calls but when officers arrived on scene there was not any evidence found to support the calls.

Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department

The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests from 8:44 a.m. Thursday and 8:43 a.m. Friday.

• Burglary-Commercial Bldg. – Andrew Lee Bennoman, 29, 204 55th Ave., Meridian.

• Probation violation/parole – Jacob Evan Brewer, 31, 383 Briarwood Road, Meridian.

• Possession of controlled substance – Kathrine Rae Gipson, 32, 2273 Old 8th St., Meridian.

• Driving under the influence/first offense – Clarence Lee Hancock, 58, 5141 Shiloh/Vimville Road, Meridian.

• Felony malicious mischief/vandalism – Markeita Latai Hill, 25, 548 Old CC Rd E G6, Meridian.

• Possession of controlled substance – Jimi L. Jones, 47, 3008 Willow Drive, Meridian. Jones is also charged with no liability insurance, driving with suspended license.

• Possession of marijuana/first offense – Hunter Chase Kirk, 18, 4060 34th Ave., Meridian.

• DUI/first offense – Cesar Paulo Moncayo, 47, 2704 Valley Rd., Meridian.

• Vulnerable adult abuse/neglect/exploitation – Andrea Sibley, 32, 79 County Road 612, Waynesboro.

• Prohibition, deadly weapon or contraband in jail – Juan K. Simpson, 23, EMCF.

• Child support/failure to pay – Randy Ellis Tuggle, 37, 1672 County Road 350.

• Grand larceny – Christopher Lee Upton, 35, 285 D Mt. Horeb Road, Meridian. Upton is also charged with burglary commercial building/two counts.

• Probation violation/parole – Jerry Lashun Williams, 30, 508 56th Ave., Meridian.

• Embezzlement – Kendrick Williams, 38, 9451 Mt. Carmel Road, Bailey. Williams is also charged with child support/failure to pay.
