Mr. and Mrs. Greg Ball of Starkville announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Victoria Neal Ball to Daniel Yale Lott.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. Ray Reese and the late Richard C. Ball of Pontotoc and Mr. and Mrs. Earl Gates of Pontotoc.

Miss Ball is a 2012 graduate of Starkville Academy and a 2016 magna cum laude graduate of Mississippi State University’s Bagley College of Engineering with a bachelor of science degree in biomedical engineering.

At MSU, she was a member of the Shackouls Honors College and Delta Delta Delta sorority. Miss Ball is currently pursuing a master of science degree in biology-medical sciences from Mississippi College.

The prospective bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. David Lott, Jr. of Meridian. His grandparents are Rachel Lott and the late David Sr. of Meridian and Richard Wrightson of Kingman, Ariz., and the late Glenda Stewart of Gulfport.

Mr. Lott is a 2012 graduate of West Lauderdale High School. He received a football scholarship to East Mississippi Community College, where he received an associate’s degree in education and was a member of Phi Theta Kappa. He is a 2016 magna cum laude graduate of Mississippi State University’s College of Education with a bachelor of science degree in secondary education with an endorsement in English.

Mr. Lott is currently employed by Florence High School as an English teacher, football coach and fast-pitch softball coach.

The couple will exchange vows at 3 on the afternoon of Saturday, Dec. 30, 2017, at the First Baptist Church of Starkville chapel, with a reception to immediately follow at Hewlett Barn.
