Southern Debutante Assembly to present honorees

The Southern Debutante Assembly will present its 2017 honorees at its annual Presentation and White and Gold Ball, which will be held Dec. 29 at the Greenwood Country Club in Greenwood. The group of young ladies to be presented includes:
Darden Majure Pilkinton, daughter of Mrs. Todd Clarence Tauzin of Ridgeland and Dr. James Clark Pilkinton of Boligee, Ala. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. David Coyt Majure of Meridian and the late Mr. Majure and the late Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Talmadge Pilkinton of Columbus.
Since graduating from St. Andrews Episcopal School in Ridgeland, Miss Pilkinton has attended Boston University in Boston, Mass., where she is a member of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority.
Miss Pilkinton will be presented at the ball by Mr. Todd Clarence Tauzin.
Leah Margaret Thompson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Russell Lee Thompson of Meridian. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Paul Dendy Shaw of Meridian and the late Mr. Billie Parks Cockrell of Louisville and Mr. and Mrs. James Franklin Thompson Jr. of Meridian.
A graduate of Lamar High School in Meridian, Miss Thompson attends the University of Mississippi in Oxford, where she is a member of Chi Omega sorority.
Miss Thompson will be presented by her father.
