A representative for the National Weather Service said that Meridian, Mississippi should expect clouds to start rolling in late on Christmas Eve to help hide Santa’s slay. The clouds will persist into Christmas morning, and last all day.

The temperature will be in the high 30s to low 40s on Christmas Eve, but rise to the lower 60s by noon on Christmas. Well, there goes Frosty.

Accompanying the rise in temperature is a 50 to 60 percent chance of rain. Luckily, it won’t be any hard rain, but Meridian and the surrounding area should still expect light to moderate rain showers throughout the day.

“It won’t be a white Christmas this year, but a wet one,” said a National Weather Service representative.
