Landrum’s set to host fall festival

Step back in time as Landrum’s Homestead & Village hosts its annual Ole Tyme Fall Festival on Saturday and Sunday.
Located in Laurel, Landrum’s Homestead and Village is a 30-acre living history museum featuring over 85 buildings and exhibits including a blacksmith’s shop, watermill, gristmill, smokehouse, general store, school-house, gem-mining attraction and chapel.
Landrum’s will be decorated in fall festival style for the festival, which will be held from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Saturday and noon until 5 p.m. on Sunday.
The Ole Tyme Fall Festival will feature demonstrations by woodcarvers, blacksmiths and broom makers; an old engine show; clogging; face painting; pony rides; a cake walk; and games from yesteryear. The smokehouse will be open, and Landrum’s famous homemade ice cream will be available.
Kids are encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes and participate in a planned scavenger hunt.
Admission is $15 per person with children under age 3 admitted free.

The homestead and attached gift shop are open year-round and welcome to walk-in visitors from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday through Saturday.
