Miss Blackwell

Miss Tracey Blackwell of Union and Mr. Brian Mathews of Starkville will be united in marriage on Saturday, June 17, 2017, at 6:30 p.m., at First Baptist Church, Philadelphia.

Parents of the couple are Ronald and Jan Blackwell of Union Jim and Kathy Mathews of Brandon.

The bride-elect received a bachelor of science degree in interdisciplinary studies and a master of arts degree in secondary education from Mississippi State University, Meridian. She is a 2002 graduate of Union High School.

Miss Blackwell is a ninth grade English teacher at Newton County High School.

The bridegroom-elect received a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering from Mississippi State University. He is a 2002 graduate of Northwest Rankin High School.

Mr. Mathews is a mechanical engineer at Taylor Machine Works.
