NAACP plans Meridian election forum

The Meridian/Lauderdale County Branch National Association for the Advancement of Colored People has scheduled a political forum at 6 p.m. Thursday, April 27 at the Frank Cochran Center.
All candidates for Meridian City Council have been invited to attend, according to an NAACP news release. The forum includes candidates in the Democratic Primary on May 2, and candidates whose names will appear on the ballot for the general election on June 6.
The NAACP encourages all Meridian voters to attend. Those wishing to ask questions should arrive by 5:45 p .m. and submit their questions in writing to the forum panel, according to the news release.
The center is located at 1725 Carousel Drive, Meridian.
