JACKSON, Miss. (AP) — A Florence man has been sentenced to life in prison after being convicted of murder in Hinds County Circuit Court.

Leonard Dougalewicz, 29, was convicted Wednesday in the death of Robert ‘‘Bobby’’ Lindsley, 48, who died of a head injury after being beaten Feb. 7, 2004, in his mobile home in Jackson, said Assistant District Attorney Stan Alexander.

Circuit Judge Winston Kidd sentenced Dougalewicz to life in prison.

Prosecutors said Dougalewicz confessed to the crime and offered a witness money to keep quiet.
